New UV LED lamp for caps and closures lateral printing

Photo Electronics expands its UV LED lamps portfolio with the new L71 UV LED lamp of the DROLED series.
The lamp is designed for the lateral printing of caps and cylindrical containers in general, and despite being an air-cooled lamp, it solves the problem of space inside the printing machine.
Lamp is also available with Focused Lens optical system which allows to focus the UV radiation on the small diameter circumference, such as aluminium or plastic caps and closures.
DROLED L71 lamp is dedicated to dry-offset UV printing applications and is suitable for high productivity machines (+ 20.000 pcs./h).
UV Dry offset, also called waterless, is a printing process combining the characteristics of letterpress and offset. A special plate prints directly onto the blanket of an offset press, and the blanket then offsets the image onto the paper or other substrate like aluminium or polypropylene. The process is called dry offset because the plate is not dampened as it would be in the offset lithography process.
UV Dry-Offset printing process is currently very used for its excellent definition and quality, in cosmetic and food industry, for the printing of cans for drinks, tubes, toothpaste, plastic cups, oil filters, paint cans, detergent packs, yogurt , beauty products, buckets.
