HOW UV RADIATIONS WORKS

One-component mastic becomes hard not by heat but by mean of invisible electro-magnetic radiations, called UV rays. Special lamps generate such radiations.
Mastic applied on raw material, hardens only if it is exposed to UV rays, which penetrates deeply inside it.
Before entering in the UV oven, mastic remains at the same density as it has been taken from the container, and can be retouched and worked for the time necessary to the operator.
The enviroment and stone temperature doesn't affect the hardening process.
Only when material passes through UV oven, the process called “UV Curing” begins. Plaster starts to become hard quickly and catalysis is completed in 35-40 seconds.
Immediately after its coming out of the UV oven, material treated surface is completely hardened and polishable.

UV product is one-component type. No chemical hardener needed.
UV product hardens in 30-40 seconds only.
UV ovens are very compact and can be installed over existing conveyor lines.
