COM Oven System composition

The oven is composed of a modular metal carpentry structure in the shape of a tunnel which contains: the modules with the IR Halogen lamps complete with reflectors, the modules with the UV lamp groups, vapors and heat extraction system, the clean air intake system for the UV lamps cooling, various safety shields and metal sheets cover up to the floor.

The assembly of an IR oven together with a UV oven allows you to optimize the dimensions and components, making the system efficient, compact and economical.
A (specific) electrical panel allows the user to select the IR or UV mode, accordingly with the required processing cycle.

PURPOSE OF THE SYSTEM

IR Section: Accelerate the hardening of two-component polyester mastics and fillers applied on the surface of natural or agglomerated marble before the in-line polishing phase.
UV Section: Harden and polymerize single-component UV resins, mastics and fillers (without chemical hardener) applied on the rough surface of natural or agglomerated marble before in-line polishing.

All the controls (external control) are grouped on a desktop case or additional electrical panel, in a position accessible to the user.
The oven is independent of the transport system and is designed to adapt to any type of existing roller conveyor system.

COM Ovens Photo Electronics guarantee high productivity, are versatile, safe and allow maximum energy savings.

Tecnical specifications
  • IR: Power (and therefore heating effect) available immediately (after 2-3 seconds).
  • IR: Immediate switch-off and very low thermal inertia: after a few seconds the heat emission is zero
  • IR: Power (and therefore temperature) adjustable according to needs
  • IR: high efficiency. 90% of the electrical energy is converted into infrared.
  • IR: The short-wave IR system is of the direct radiation type: it directly heats the surface of the material and not the surrounding environment.
  • UV: Resin/mastic hardening in 30-40 seconds
  • UV: The room or marble temperature does not affect the hardening speed
  • UV: Lower emission of volatile substances (VOC), such as styrene contained in the resin
  • UV: Consumption 20% to 40% lower than a traditional oven.
Fields of application
  • Surface treatment of marble and stone natural and artificial directly on processing lines
  • Hardening of single-component resins, mastics and fillers applied on the surface of natural marble or agglomerate (section UV)
  • The fast hardening of two-component polyester mastics and fillers applied on the surface of natural or agglomerate marble before the in-line polishing phase. (IR section)

OVEN CONSTRUCTION FEATURES

- A (specific) electrical panel allows the user to manage the oven.
- The oven is independent of the transport system. In fact, it is designed to adapt to any type of roller or rack and can be moved or fixed to the ground.
- An integrated extraction system allows the fumes generated by the resins to be expelled and conveyed outside or to a solvent abatement system.
- An additional system rationally distributes the clean cooling air for the UV lamp groups, which can also be taken from outside the building.
- They are designed in compliance with the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC and ATEX 94/9/EC.
